AS AN Independent musician

I've been playing guitar and bass in various styles of rock for most of my life and have recently expanded to vocal performance and keyboards to round out my skills and widen my palette as a songwriter.

I've performed bass, guitar and vocals in numerous projects over the years with most having published works in the form of recorded songs, EP's and album releases.

I have been performing live in Chicago and Northwest Indiana based rock and metal bands since 1993 and began touring the U.S. in 2008 with the band "IDEAMEN" through 2018.

Since that time, I've moved to a new area of Chicagoland with my life partner and have become more of an at home studio musician - decided to producing music live or otherwise.  My original project is called "Gentle Gene" with Phil Goodrich on drums and Chris Gardner as producer and live guitarist.

AS A D.O.S. PRODUCTION ASSISTANT

In 2006, I was working in freelance, mainly for street level promotional companies PMD Media and Inwindow Outdoor, when I fell into working live events.  Festival season was at hand and I was hired to be a production runner for C3 Events' Lollapalooza festival in Chicago.

I had a flexible enough schedule to be available to work the entire run from set up to the tear down of the multi day / multi stage event.   It was only about 2 weeks of work and I basically had to wait until the next year for the event to come around again.

Over the next few years, I slowly began to work other shows in the area while keeping my freelance gigs through 2012 when I was hired full time by a locally based music promoter in Chicago.

In 2023, with the pandemic changing the landscape of the live music industry, I find myself fortunate to have a consistent work and am doing freelance work taking side gigs.  If you need a runner, please reach out, I will drive your rental van!
